ABOUT CARLY
Some of my earliest memories are of looking through my parents’ wedding album and watching their wedding film in awe. Their love story was more special to me than any fairytale that Disney could come up with! Since then, I have loved telling stories of the world around me, from making home movies on a tiny pink camera, to now photographing real-life love stories as they unfold!
I am inspired by how each wedding is a beautiful representation of generations of stories culminating together in the celebration of a new chapter.
I still love looking back at my parents’ wedding because it was so “them.” My mom chose her dress because it was just the one she loved the most. It didn’t matter whether it was on trend or not. They got married at their church because that was where they met. They had over 400 guests because they couldn’t help but have everyone they loved there. Their wedding looked beautiful, but its authenticity is what makes it timelessly beautiful to me!
Their wedding photography and film remain cherished heirlooms. We are able to look back on gorgeous portraits of my parents as newlyweds with their family and friends. We can watch the full documentary tape of their ceremony and the moment my mom squealed “I do.” before the officiant had a chance to ask. Maybe most importantly, we are able to remember all of the perfectly imperfect moments that could otherwise have been easy to forget- inside jokes, unforced laughter, and lots of heartfelt happy tears.
My ultimate goal is to provide you with a beautiful, dynamic, genuine, refined and heartfelt collection of images from your wedding day. My hope is that these images will serve as an heirloom for you and your loved ones, allowing you to treasure memories of your celebration and inspiring your legacy for generations to come.
My approach is focused on natural, organic moments and a gentle and simple posing style. I will thoughtfully collaborate with you, your planner, and your creative team to seamlessly guide you through a personalized, effortless experience. We will take care of maintaining a smooth flow of events while ensuring you are photographed in gorgeous light and flattering angles.
I am so grateful for each opportunity to thoughtfully highlight the unique beauty, connection, and story of couples and their loved ones, and I strive to be a calming and joyful presence that allows you to truly live in the moment as you enjoy your time with your people!
I love spending free time on the water with my favorite people, and going anywhere that has good coffee. I am also a (self-proclaimed) fantastic amateur rapper and Spotify playlist maker. :)
