ABOUT CARLY
Some of my earliest memories are of looking through my parents’ wedding album and watching their wedding film in awe. Their love story was more special to me than any fairytale that Disney could come up with! Since then, I have loved telling stories of the world around me, from home movies on a toy camera to photographing real-life fairytales for future generations to cherish.
I still love looking back at my parents’ wedding because it was shamelessly, authentically them. My mom’s dress was just the one she loved the most. It didn’t matter whether it was on trend. They got married at the church where they met, and had over 400 guests because everyone they loved had to be there. Everything was dripping in light pink roses thanks to my dad’s parents’ florist.
Their wedding photography and film remain cherished heirlooms. We are able to look back on gorgeous portraits of my parents as newlyweds with their family and friends. We can watch the full documentary tape of their ceremony and the moment my mom squealed “I do” before the officiant had a chance to ask. Maybe most importantly, we are able to see the perfectly imperfect moments- inside jokes, unforced laughter, and lots of heartfelt happy tears.
My ultimate goal is to provide you with a beautiful, dynamic, genuine, refined and heartfelt collection of images from your wedding day. My hope is that these images will serve as an heirloom for you and your loved ones, allowing you to treasure memories of your celebration and inspiring your legacy for generations to come.
While my photography style mostly remains consistent, I leave room for embracing each couple’s unique style and personality. I thoughtfully collaborate with couples, their planners, and their creative team to guide a personalized and effortless posing experience. We will take care of maintaining a smooth flow of events while ensuring you are photographed authentically, just in gorgeous light, and from flattering angles.
I am so grateful for each opportunity to thoughtfully highlight the unique beauty, connection, and story of couples and their loved ones, and I strive to be a calming and joyful presence that allows you to truly live in the moment as you enjoy your time with your people!
